CONCURRENT CLASSES
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors at SHHS may earn college credit by taking dual-credit classes. These are college classes taught at SHHS. Tuition is paid directly to the college, and a transcript is created through the institution. There is no limit to the total credit hours earned while in high school; however, Washburn will not let students take more than 6 hours of credits per semester without written approval. In order to take any dual credit course, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
Both Washburn and Allen CC require students to apply online.
College Algebra requires a 22 Math ACT score as well as a 3.0 GPA.
Tuition is subject to change and is paid directly to the institution where credit is being issued.
All juniors and seniors desiring concurrent credit must meet eligibility requirements due to a recent directive of the Kansas Board of Regents.
